In the 1960s, the population in Ludwigsburg grew above average – and with it the demand for drinking water. To meet this demand, a water tower was built in 1969 in Salonwald, at the highest point and in a central location. Due to its elevated position, the water reaches households without technical aids, with a water pressure of 2.5 bar.
