Notre-Dame de la Mer (Cran Poulet)

The statue of Mary "Notre-Dame des Flots" used to be right on the path. However, this has now been laid slip-proof laterally. Therefore you have to climb to the Madonna via a short staircase.

Notre-Dame des Flots is a beautiful Marian statue located in a small cove near Cran Poulet (also known as Cran de la Vierge) in the territory of Audinghen, on the Opal Coast. This special place is accessible via the GR120 hiking trail, which stretches between Cap Gris Nez and Audresselles.

The Notre-Dame des Flots resembles the Virgin Mary in the grotto of Lourdes and bears the inscription “Notre-Dame de la Mer”.
A spring (or more accurately, infiltration) flows at this cliff location. People from the coastal region from Wissant to Le Portel come here to pray.
