The lotus fountain in the Frankentherme Bad Königshofen is a healing water fountain. It was designed and built in 1999 by the sculptor Peter Picciani from Ipthausen. The lotus flower (ind. Water lily) symbolizes rebirth, the renewal of life energy. The flowers of the water lily, which open again every morning, correspond to the return of the vital forces analogous to the effect of the healing water. The water flows from the calyxes into the bowl-shaped, stylized leaves, step by step it presents itself as a source of health and joy of life.
