The monastery is visible from afar with the distinctive 3 towers, all of which have lavishly decorated onion tips.

Camaldolese monks:
"Oh hermitage, a terrible abode for evil spirits, where the cells of the monks in the headquarters tower like camp tents."
The monastery can be visited every full and half hour, but is closed at lunchtime.
Attention: Unfortunately women and girls are generally not allowed in. In addition, shorts and sleeveless shirts are not permitted. If you don't have anything long to put on, you have to stay outside.
In addition, the primary reason for visiting should be the desire to pray. Against this background it is easier to understand that absolute silence is required within the monastery church. Photos are strictly forbidden inside the monastery church. Outside the church you can take photos and talk to the monks.
For everyone who has made it this far: the monastery church is impressively high and the nave is very wide. On the left and right there are 3 splendidly furnished side chapels. In contrast to this splendor, the rest of the furnishings are rather simple.
If you look to the left immediately after passing through the portal, you will see a passage that leads to a chapel that shows the passion of Christ. If you look to the right, the passage leads to a chapel that shows the matyrium of St. Sebastian.
