In the past you could go down the protected north side and climb around the headland of Punta da Munxar to camp on the flat beach below the cliffs and bathe in the sea.

There were a few paths that were closed or altered - especially the one at the end of the walk just passed the gas factory- it says private property / farmers only now so we did not enter but turned around and finished the walk without that loop which was still nearly 6 miles long
