The Dammermühle, located behind the railway underpass on the Morper Straße towards Erkrath and rebuilt in 1860 after a fire, is recognizable from afar on its beautiful stepped gable. Since 1325, the property was zinsenspflichtiges fief of the Gerresheimer pin. The Gerresheimer manufacturer Ignaz Dreher used the building 1845 - 51 for its wire pin production.
