Former Bieber Railway Station

Unfortunately, I didn't even find a notice board at the location.

On August 19, 1898, the Biebertalbahn began passenger traffic between Gießen and Bieber and two months later, on October 20, freight traffic. The railway connection Gießen - Bieber now opened up completely new business areas for the towns on the railway line; not only the transport of ore, lime and tobacco products benefited from it, but also trade between the towns and the city. The market women brought their goods into the city in market baskets and the workplace in Giessen could be reached more easily. In 1965, locomotive 60 had to make its last journey.
