The rehabilitation work on the Gadauner Gorge has now been completed. On May 17, 2021, the Katharina tunnel was blasted through. This replaces the former tunnel and the open-air path. Severe storms and mudslides hit the tunnel in November 2019 to such an extent that it had to be closed from that point on. In order to offer hikers the greatest possible safety in the future, a new, 68 meter long tunnel was dug. Reopening of the Höhenweg: end of June 2021.
