The Castellina Scalo-Monteriggioni Cycle Path is a scenic route that takes cyclists through the beautiful Tuscan countryside. The path offers a mix of paved and unpaved roads, making it suitable for both recreational cyclists and more experienced riders1. Along the way, cyclists can enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding hills, vineyards and olive groves. The path connects the charming village of Castellina Scalo with historic Monteriggioni, known for its well-preserved medieval walls and towers1. Nice protected route. Asphalt road along the railway and the Staggia stream.
Perfect route to get to Monteriggioni. The track first runs alongside the railway, then winds along the wooded hills following the Staggia stream. Finally you pass through some cultivated fields, where the view opens up and the panorama is surprising: suddenly the village of Monteriggioni appears at the top of a hill, with its high walls and characteristic towers.
