The open-air stage in Nettelstedt is the oldest amateur open-air stage in Germany and has an interesting observation tower. The stage was built in 1923.

An open-air stage that is second to none. One of the oldest open-air stages in Germany. It's a steep climb up to the stage... but then you're totally rewarded by this beautiful place. From the parking lot you have a magnificent view of the valley.

The open-air theater in Nettelstedt was founded in 1923 by Karl Meyer-Spelbrink, who organized a first performance on the slope of the Wiehengebirge without a fixed stage design. Today, the Hünenbrink Tower, completed in 1929, serves as a backdrop.
