RauteAcht: A bank on the Hansberg. Stands wonderfully under an old, expansive oak (unfortunately also under a fat high-voltage line) and offers a quiet view over the fields towards Wodantal.
At the top of the mountain, I leave the RauteAcht and continue on the Kammweg (bridle path) because the path is much nicer to walk, at least on dry ground. Dense ilex and beech forest. Wonderful, the feeling of walking on top of the ridge, and in the less green season also corresponding views in both directions. Later the R8 meets the Kammweg (also MTB). If you walk it all the way to the end of the kidney yard, you can expect an exciting and challenging descent.
