In the 11th century, there was initially only one tower on the current site of the Château de Gérigny. The castle was built in the 15th century and then remodeled in the 17th century. At that time, it included 4 towers, 2 of which still remain. Near Charité-Sur-Loire, the castle once belonged to the monks.

I always knew it was more or less abandoned before the 2000s but there has been good renovation work, especially on the roofs. The exterior facades deserve a major facelift but not easy with the moats.
