La Charité-sur-Loire, town of art and history, whose 900-year-old bell tower is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. At Charité-sur-Loire, the Loire Bridge is a stone bridge dating from 1520. Of the eleven arches that support the structure, only ten are visible. The work has only one arch allowing the passage of boats, identifiable by its stone pyramid (which also bore a cross until the Revolution).
