In Dangast on the dike there is such a "Gauss stone", which was roofed over according to historical specifications. The stone was erected here in 1866 and from here you could sight the church towers of Varel and Jever.
In the immediate vicinity, a round sticker "Central European degree measurement - Dangast station" was left in the asphalt.
