Tips
Stoutenburg is best known for the estate with castle, popularly called Heerlijkheid Stoutenburg. This castle from 1888 has been in the possession of the Utrecht Landscape since this century. Together with the Bloeidaal nature reserve and De Schammer water storage area, the estate forms an ecological corridor that offers space for endangered plants and animals. A large part of this nature is open to walkers and cyclists.
