On the south exit from Erlinsbach about 360 hm are overcome on 6 km. The climb begins in Erlinsbach, which partly belongs to the canton of Aargau, partly to the canton of Solothurn. Both places form a coherent settlement. The town center of Erlinsbach is still quite flat, only after the hamlet Breitmis it is steeper, but the slope values always remain in the single-digit range. The road is consistently well developed, but it also serves the access to the clinic Barmelweid, which can be reached from the pass. The road is not very busy and leads mostly through the forest and can be very pleasant ride.
