The contrast on both sides of the bar is spectacular. The northern zone (Umbria) is dense in a blanket of villas and other buildings, many of them abandoned where there was a forest of conifers. While the south side (sunny side), as seen in the image above, peeled off due to strong solar radiation and a fire received in 2013.
