very stately old farm building from the 17th century. The house was inhabited until 1971.
At Easter 1974 the building burned down, which was then already being used as a museum. Rebuilt from 1991 to 1993 and open as a museum two days a week.

        "...
        History of the Fürstenberger Hof:
The Fürstenberger Hof, located in the beautiful Kurgarten area on the Harmersbach that flows past, is one of the most beautiful and well-known museums in the Black Forest.
The thatched farm was built in 1660 by a farmer from the Fürstenberg area. Until 1971 the farm was inhabited and managed by the Armbruster family from Fürstenberg.
The municipality of Unterharmersbach bought the farm and set up a Black Forest farmer's museum there, which now attracts thousands of visitors from all over the world every year.
Around 1,500 oak nails and countless posts and beams still hold the house together today, just as it did 360 years ago. Typical of this design is the change in color between the sandstone basement, the dark wooden upper floor and the yellow thatched roof.

        A particularly beautiful decorative element:
The Alemannic ribbon window on the south-west corner with 112 small window panes.
Impressive is the mighty room with the slightly vaulted ceiling, in which the farmer's family met their maids and servants at the large table under the Lord's corner to eat.
