These lakes were also created when the district was founded. Unfortunately, improper renovation work around the time of reunification severely damaged the natural sealing layers on the lake bed, so that the lake is now heavily dependent on groundwater. This led to it almost drying out in the last few dry years.
A very committed association has reconstructed historical signposts and gas lamps and is now planning to give the lake its sealing layer back. The municipality is also interested in connecting more road drainage.

Perhaps the beautiful lake terraces will be rebuilt at some point.
