The Piaţa Victoriei (German Victory Square), also called Piaţa Operei (German Opera Square), is a square in the present city center of the Romanian city of Timişoara. It is considered the most famous boulevard of the city. During the Romanian Revolution of 1989, today's Piaţa Victoriei was a central scene of the first mass demonstrations. Among other things, the revolutionaries held their speeches from the balcony of the opera. Even today (as of 2013), bullet holes can be seen in the facades of the houses.

On the square stands the Old Town Hall (Romanian Primăria Veche), which was built in 1731-1734 according to the plans of the Italian architect Pietro del Bronzo on the foundations of a Turkish bath destroyed in the Turkish War, but in the following centuries has undergone some changes.
