The goat bridge is truly an eye-catcher in the beautiful old town of Wasungen.
The bridge is in excellent condition.

Was built before 1664 from sandstone blocks. It is almost 17 meters long and originally crossed the mill ditch. Shepherds once drove their goats across the mill stream on this "goat bridge". In the 1960s, a tank drove over the bridge, which was only 3.20 meters wide, and severely damaged it. It was repaired, however. In 1984, the mill ditch was piped. The bridge, which is a listed building, remained "dry" as a jewel for its surroundings. (Info: Brückenweb)
