The foundation stone for the Eichenbach Chapel was laid in July 1937 and it was dedicated to the 14 helpers in need.
The helpers in need are a group of 14 saints who call on the people in need and peril. Their veneration found in the great plague and social hardships of the 14th century from Vierzehnheiligen (Franconia) spread.
The 14 wooden figures from Eichenbach come from the Maßholder chapel, which was formerly a courtyard near the confluence of the Eichenbach and the Ahr.
