Built in the 18th century, the single-arch stone bridge connects the surrounding mountain trails with the historic fortified town. After hours on rough tracks and remote paths, it marks a striking return to cobbles, walls and civilisation.

Beautiful old stone bridge over a deep gorge behind the fortress in Briançon. The bridge gives a beautiful view over the gorge, but is also worth a look itself. The bridge is covered with old boulders, but can only be reached on both sides via stony gravel paths. Wonderful for gravel cyclists and mountain bikers.
