As the first officially opened singletrack in the region, the Gornerwald Trail laid the foundation for a well developed singletrack network in East Tyrol. Nestled in a breathtaking mountain landscape, a singletrack Eldorado for beginners and advanced skiers develops in the area around Austria's highest mountain. A predominantly smooth trail, always larger and smaller jumps, finely applied adjacent curves: The natural Gornerwald Trail offers everything a successful freeride trip needs. On the singletrack scale, the descent is graded in sections between S4 and S5.

The climb allows guests to master the gondola in a relaxed atmosphere, allowing them to fully concentrate on the challenging downhill passages throughout the day. Just do not let them distract you from the view of the Grossglockner. The first part of the single trail is very difficult and recommended only for experienced bikers. The second section (end of the forest as soon as you get onto the dirt road) is easy to master. The start of the trail is the middle station of the GG-Resort Bergbahnen at 1,960 meters. The goal is with 1,260 meters in the district Großdorf, the total length is 4.76 kilometers.
