Cyclists can discover the fort together with Fort van Oelegem and Fort van Kessel via the route 'Antitankgracht en heide' or you can create your own route thanks to the cycling nodes. Fort van 's-Gravenwezel is located at junction 30.

Not much remains of the original buildings in Fort van 's-Gravenwezel. The domain is now the residential recreation area Schildestrand.
History:
The Fort of 's-Gravenwezel was built in 1909-1912. On October 5, 1914, the fortress resisted the German army, but a few days later it took Antwerp. In 1947 the fort was no longer a military domain. Almost all fort buildings have been demolished. Only here and there the remains are still visible.
