1682: A Marian chapel was founded and built by Franz Casimir Brandt and his wife Anna.
1767: The current building (26 meters long and 11 meters wide) replaced the Marian chapel.
The frescoes in this Rococo church were created by Franz Anton Rauscher (1731-1777), who is rightly considered the painter of the Bavarian Forest during the Baroque period.
