The Geestrücken west of the Hammeniederung (Osterholzer Geest) was settled several thousand years before the birth of Christ. The Seemoor environmental and prehistory trail in Holste-Paddewisch (Hambergen municipality) offers, among other things. archaeologically processed finds from grave sites from the Stone and Bronze Ages. Information boards provide information on site about stone graves, hill dug fields and barrows. In addition, traces of medieval agriculture can be found in the form of vaulted bakers, and with the lake moor itself, a vivid natural monument for the (presumed) original state of the formerly inaccessible high moor areas of the region can be found.Guided tours are offered on the approx. 3 km long nature trail.Source: teufelsmoor.eu/ausfluge/vorgeschichtsweg-seemoor

The entire path is obviously no longer maintained. Most of the information boards and signposts are no longer there. So please don't expect what is presented here as a "highlight".

The cairns and landscape here are still very worth seeing, although all the trail's signposts beyond the entrance sign have been removed. The trail is in a wild state in the rear section around the second cairn (which is overgrown). It's only for the adventurous.
