Hollenberg Castle was built by Emperor Charles IV in the middle of the 14th century. During the war between the Bohemian King Wenzel and the Palatine King Ruprecht the castle was taken and damaged several times. Even after that, the castle changed hands several times until it was destroyed in the Peasants' War in 1525. Since then, the ruin decays.
