The Marstall cultural center is located in the building of the historic Marstall. The Marstall is part of the former complex in the former Woldenhorn estate village and was built between 1845 and 1846. In addition to the Ahrensburg Castle and the castle church with the so-called Gottesbuden, the historic complex also includes the Bagatelle and the former water mill. From the castle you can see the stable hall, the front, older part of the building - an exhibition space that has been known nationwide for years. Here, the gallery in the Marstall Ahrensburg mainly shows contemporary art. In the right part of the building is the coach house, the former carriage hall. The left part of the building is privately owned. In the rear part of the complex, which cannot be seen from the street, is the former riding hall (built in 1897), which was converted into a modern event hall in 2006, but has retained its historical substance. Together with the modern foyer built at the same time, it forms the heart of the Marstall cultural center. Various events take place in the riding hall and the foyer. The riding hall has 280 seats, a stage and a modern lighting and sound system. In the foyer there is a counter for catering and the cloakroom. The former coach house was converted into another event room for the cultural center in 2013; the cultural center's offices have also been located there since then. marstall-ahrensburg.de/der-marstall
