The church was built in the years 1731-1735 on the site of an earlier temple, mentioned in sources in 1624. The old temple was probably built in the second half of the 19th century. 16th century, when Stolec was bought by the von Ramin family. The church was probably built as a frame structure with brick filling. It can be assumed that the current church is built on the outline of the old temple. The oldest part, constituting the remains of the old church, is the northern crypt, of which only the foundations have been discovered.

The founder of the new church was Jurgen Berndt von Ramin, the owner of the estate in Stolec. Originally, the tower was topped with a baroque dome with an extensive, rich form. The interior had rich furnishings: a gallery and an altar, and in the tower there was a clock and three bells from the old church. In 1935, the copper roof covering was replaced with zinc and the roof truss was strengthened.

The church was partially destroyed during World War II. It was built in 1982.

The church, a plastered brick building with a half-timbered tower, was built between 1731 and 1735. Corner rustics and plastering boxes on the windows underline the baroque style of the church. Until 1945, the church was the most important in what was then the Randow district. Today nothing remains of the original two open lanterns and the helmet top with four dials as well as the ship-wide extensions to the west tower. The tower ends above the second half-timbered floor; the extensions were demolished.
