Fairytale Sculptures by the Sea (SprookjesBeelden aan Zee)

SprookjesBeelden aan Zee (fairy tale characters by the sea) is a sculpture terrace on the boulevard of Scheveningen that is accessible free of charge.

The sculptures of the American sculptor Tom Otterness belong to the Museum Beelden aan Zee. Each of the more than 20 works of art represents a different fairy tale - from Gulliver's travels to Hansel and Gretel. Particularly striking is the gigantic herring eater, who has become the icon of the new Scheveningen Boulevard.
