The tithe barn had originally stood in the city center of Neustadt am Rübenberge since the 14th or 15th century. From the 17th century onwards it was mentioned in writing from time to time. In 1727 it was marked in the fire plan. In 1979 the barn had to give way to the construction of the Herzog-Erich-Allee and was acquired by Mr. Wiegmann. He had it professionally rebuilt by a carpenter in Amedorf, where it served as an "event barn". Unfortunately, it seems to have been neglected at the moment.
