At an altitude of over 2,400 metres and with winter conditions lasting nine months of the year, the flora in the Queyras Regional Nature Park is reduced to the most hardy species. This is why you will find edelweiss and larch forests, for example. If you are lucky, you will see chamois and mouflons on the grassy slopes, or the ubiquitous marmots, whose only concern here is the golden eagle.
