Lesser Penegal, nearly 200m lower than its "big brother", the 1,737m Great Penegal or simply Penegal, is a mountain peak in itself. A summit cross rises up here, which can be clearly seen from the valley, especially on Sacred Heart Sunday when it shines in bright light.
