HISTORY OF THE PARISH:
1846
In a letter, Bishop János Scitovszki of Pécs asks Count Kázm Batthyány to provide a room in the Harkány manor house for the purpose of a chapel. The landlord rejected the request due to lack of space, but offered to donate land for the purpose of the chapel.
1877
The Harkány Bath Committee starts collecting donations.
1905
Count Lajos Benyovszky, the owner of the Siklós estate, is donating an area of 200 squares for the construction of a chapel. In the same year, work began according to the plan of architects Schlauch and Károlyi.
