The old meadow orchard with more than 80 different types of fruit trees invites you to go for a walk, relax and try something. Small boards on the fruit trees provide information about the variety and when to harvest it.

The Marienturm, the landmark of Sande, is the remainder of a palace that was demolished in 1792. In the outbuildings of the Altmarienhausen estate there is now a café and the Küstenum, a museum that houses an exhibition on coastal life and a functioning historic blacksmith shop.

Cycling

Very pretty little rest of a former castle. Only the tower is still standing, but can be visited. In the small café next door there are delicious home-made cakes. Very nice to breathe (on the weekend). It also offers a cultural program, for each of which there are brochures. Among the farm buildings is the Küstenum, a small museum that is well worth seeing.
