Inside the church, the highly decorated stucco ceiling by Jean Baptiste Pedrozzi (1759) with the depiction of the Assumption by Wilhelm Ernst Wunder (1756) is striking. In general, the original color is restored during a renovation in 1958.
Probably in the first half of the 18th century. The altarpiece of the pulpit contains a winged altar from 1519 and elements from the end of the 17th century, presumably by Johann Georg Brenck. The inner part of the winged altar shows relief scenes of Saint Sebastian, George, Christophorus and Laurentius attributed to the period 1510-20. The panel paintings on the inside of the wings depict scenes from the legend of James and are attributed to Hans Süß von Kulmbach in 1519. Furthermore, two full sculptures of James and Bartholomew were taken on the sides of the altar and a representation of the Last Supper, which is shown on the side of the community Neudrossenfeld.
