The first church and rectory fell victim to the great forest fire in 1652. After that, a small wooden church was built. In 1753, construction began on a stone church on the same site. Due to the growing population, it was decided to enlarge it and the current church was consecrated in 1885. The baptismal font made of red limestone dates from 1655.
