After the Romanesque cathedral burned down in 1273, the new cathedral was built in Gothic style - and has since then been a continuing construction site. At the back of the cathedral there is the Dombauhütte, the workshop, the stonemasons, who are responsible for the rehabilitation and exchange of stones and sculptures.
