Here it is explained again that the name Trubach is derived from the "Trüben Ach". Over the centuries, several source outlets of the Trubach have shifted further and further down the valley to the current source due to the lowering of the karst water level. One of these former karst springs is located in a karst grotto a little above today's contained spring, but this spring dried up over the years. Today's spring is set in concrete and provided with a wooden railing. This is explained very well and clearly on the display board.
