Quiet alternative to A5 which is worth the views alone. It’s definitely not at the same smooth pace, but there are some fun up and down and rather gravelly surfaces for a metalled road. Always wanted to travel this side of the valley and it did not disappoint. I’d bring the family touring here!

Stunning views of the area. Definitely better than on the road and it does get busy on the A5 at peak hours and summer holidays. Would definitely recommend this road as an alternative.

Instead of taking the busy A5, why not venture on this great back road that goes parallel with it. Yes, it is narrow, and there are some hills, there are good views and a sense of escapism away from the hustle and bustle.
