It is only at second glance that one recognizes that the piñata that the sculpture is holding in its hands is an folded umbrella.

Iron-hard work of art by the Schönberg blacksmith Heiko Voss.

The sculpture "Man in the Storm" is located directly in front of the Schoenberger Strand pier. As is well known, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but somehow the "man has something", as he "fights" so wildly with an umbrella in a storm.
The sculpture was made in 2004 for an art exhibition in Schönberg. The shaped sheets were cut out from Corten steel sheets and welded. The screen is forged. The height of the sculpture is about 3.5m. The original is on loan at the Schönberger Seebrücke. A younger brother is in Heiligenhafen.
This sculpture was created by Heiko Voss. He is a blacksmith in Schönberg.
