Blens has a castle built by the Lords of Blens in the 12th century. After reconstruction in 1791, the castle got its current appearance. A four-wing farmyard surrounds the two-storey manor house. The courtyard paving made of Rur pebbles, which is still well preserved today, is a remarkable rarity.

The castle is a four-wing farm yard with a two-storey rectangular mansion made of rubble stone with a half-hip roof, which was built around 1791. From the previous medieval hilltop castle, only the stump of a round tower and some remains of the curtain wall are preserved. Hiking
A Johannes de Blens from the 12th century likely built this castle here. The male line of the de Blens family died out in 1380, and through various marriages and further bequests, the castle passed to the Abercron family. They still own and live in it today, and some of the buildings have been converted into holiday apartments. https://burg-blens.de
