It was first mentioned in a document in 1371. Due to the dilapidation of the old chapel, it was thanks to a Blens "citizens' initiative" that efforts were made to build a new chapel and this was also implemented. In 1807, the pretty chapel, built from quarry stones, was completed and consecrated to Saints George and Blaise.
