"Electricity has been generated in the Hottingen power plant, which is located outside the museum, since 1908. In 1975, the machines were replaced with more modern ones. The power plant now belongs to Energiedienst AG.
The turbine from 1908, with the automatic mechanical control and the generator, can be viewed in the shelter in the museum's outdoor area. It is also possible to visit the historic factory apartment on the upper floor as part of a museum tour."
