The Heßhütte is named after the Gesäuse pioneer Heinrich Heß and looks back on a long tradition. Due to its popularity, at some point there was no longer enough space in the original hut and a new building was built in 1996. The cozy hut atmosphere was retained.

The Heßhütte is not only in a fantastic location, but also has great hosts and very good food. A good starting point for many tours! There are washrooms (no showers), flush toilets and a fountain in front of the door.
