The cabin rocks were originally called “hive stones” by the inhabitants of Somoly. In the vicinity of Eger the term “blind-windowed stones” was used, elsewhere the names “spit stones”, “idol stones”, “bishop’s glass” are also known. The names of some rocks are also very eloquent: Devil's Tower, Devil's Stone, Bábaszék, Nyerges, Királyszéke, Kősárkány. Gyula Bartalos is the first thorough researcher and acquaintance of the cabin rocks.
