The Statue of Albrecht Rodenbach is a statue in the West Flemish city of Roeselare, which is located on De Coninckplein.
The statue of Albrecht Rodenbach was erected in 1909 and was designed by Jules Lagae. This champion of the Flemish movement releases a Blue Foot (seagull), after his battle song published in 1875. Rodenbach studied at the Klein Seminarie Roeselare.
Incidentally, the original "blue foot" would have been an osprey, which is not reflected in the image, but is explicitly mentioned by Hendrik Conscience in his book "The fellows of Flanders".
