The Mittelland Canal is the longest man-made waterway in Germany with a length of about 325 km and connects the rivers Rhine and Oder.
Larger thought, it even enables a connection between Holland, Belgium, Luxembourg, France and Switzerland on the one hand ... with Poland and the Czech Republic on the other.
