With a height of 938 meters, Csóványos is the highest mountain in Börzsöny, making it the 20th highest in Hungary in the ranking of mountain peaks. It is located on the border of Pest and Nógrád counties, the highest mountain in Pest county and the second highest mountain in Nógrád county.
